David Belle is credited with inventing free running as a teenager living in the outskirts of Paris . He and his childhood friend Sebastien Foucan are still regarded today as two of the most talented free runners. Free-running originally began as a children's game to pass the time after school, but since then, it has evolved into a much more serious discipline, with a close community of dedicated practitioners.
