"Houston, Tranguility Base here. The Eagle has landed." These words were spoken by Buzz Aldrin as the Apollo 11 mission touched down on the surface of the Moon on July 20 1969. 6 hours later, Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the Moon. Including the three Apollo 11 astronauts, only 12 people have ever set foot on the Moon. Since the last of the Apollo missions in 1972, no human has ever set foot on the Moon.
